Katharina Zunk
Senior Vice President of Operations
Katharina was raised in the Northeastern region of Pennsylvania and subsequently in New England. She later relocated to South Florida, where she commenced her career in behavioral health, specializing in substance use and mental health disorders.
Afterwards, Katharina earned her Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration from KEU. She possesses over a decade of experience in the field, having held various executive operational roles throughout her career.
Katharina has successfully led numerous talented teams within the behavioral health sector, drawing on her extensive experience in executive leadership for substance use disorder and mental health facilities. Her areas of specialization include facility startups and turnaround strategies, as well as compliance with CARF, Joint Commission and state standards.
Brinkley Stone-Hart
Clinical Director
Brinkley brings over two decades of leadership experience in mental health and substance use treatment, working with diverse populations in a variety of clinical settings. As the Clinical Director at Silver Ridge Recovery, she is passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore healing, growth, and transformation.
In recovery herself, Brinkley deeply understands the complexities of letting go of old patterns and building a fulfilling, meaningful life. She blends evidence-based approaches like EMDR, Brainspotting, and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention with a strong focus on practical skill-building, helping clients develop the tools they need to thrive in recovery. She also values the importance of community, spirituality, and carefully crafted aftercare plans to support long-term success.
Brinkley believes recovery is about more than just addressing symptoms — it’s about rediscovering purpose and connection. She enjoys spending time at home with her husband, teenage son, and three dogs, where she finds comfort in reading, cooking, and relaxing.
Jeff Hunsucker, LCSW, LCAS, CCS, NCCPSS
Executive Director
Jeff is a person in long-term recovery from Substance Use Disorder, Therapist, and an advocate for individuals suffering from addiction. His experience in the mental health and addiction recovery field is diverse. He began this career in 2011 as a Peer Support Specialist and worked in various settings in numerous roles serving individuals while he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. He is still certified as a Peer Support Specialist and has since added credentials as Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Certified Clinical Supervisor. Jeff values his roles of husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to those he loves. He enjoys woodworking, gardening, and cooking barbeque in his free time. Jeff believes that each person experiencing mental health and substance use challenges deserves to be treated with respect and have an opportunity to pursue wellness.
Mac McKinnon
Behavioral Health Technician Manager
Mac, a native Tennessean, came to Asheville as part of his recovery journey and decided he’d like to make a career out of helping people and sharing the gifts that were so generously given to him along his path. Mac has worked exclusively in recovery settings since achieving sobriety over 5 years ago, mainly on the housing side, and is the process of becoming a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor along with his job duties as Behavioral Health Technician Manager at Silver Ridge. When away from work Mac spends time golfing, following the Tennessee Volunteers, being with loved ones and managing some real estate holdings in Johnson City, TN.
